Attorney Neva Stotler has decades of experience assisting public and private sector employers navigate the challenges that come with having people work for you. Regardless of the number of employees or your revenue, myriad laws and regulations apply to hiring, maintaining, and managing a workforce.

A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science, Neva received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law intending to focus her work on environmental law. In her first job, however, she quickly became acquainted with a group of labor and employment lawyers with whom she would work for the next 21 years of her career, fine tuning her knowledge of local governments, civil rights and employment law. She became a founding member in the firm of Campbell Durrant & Beatty (now Campbell Durrant) through the end of 2013, when she moved to an office in the suburbs of Pittsburgh to focus on private sector employers and to expand her work for municipal governments. The last 6 years with small firms and working as the in house lawyer and director of human resources for Cranberry Township, led her to start her own firm, continuing a family tradition of entrepreneurship, practicing in the area of employment law, human resource counseling, and municipal law for small to mid-sized private and public sector entities.

Attorney Stotler is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court (1991); United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (1991); United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania (1995); United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1995); United States Supreme Court (2007). Member of the Allegheny County and Butler Bar Associations, A member of the Allegheny Bar Foundation, Committee for Scholarships and Loans, and a Former Member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board, Hearing Committee Member.

Neva resides in the Cranberry Township area with her two children. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking and is an avid fan of the US National Park System.

Attorney Stotler provides the following services to her clients.

  • Serve as municipal solicitor or special counsel providing a wide range of advice in areas related to the operation of public sector entities, with experience in personnel, benefits, compensation structures, intergovernmental cooperation agreements, land use and zoning, municipal liens, ordinance and resolution drafting.
  • Provide adjunct human resource services to small and mid-sized public and private employers
  • Jury, non-jury trial experience in federal and state courts defending employment and civil rights claims; approved counsel for insurance companies.
  • Defend employers in unemployment compensation, workers compensation, Department of Environmental Protection, Pa Utility Commission proceedings, among other administrative agencies.
  • Advocate for and advise public and private employers in all aspects of personnel management and litigation, including discipline, hiring, policy drafting, and employee training.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and other contracts and agreements related to employment and work relationships.
  • Conduct employee training sessions for employer clients in areas of sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, discipline strategies, supervisory programs, among others.
  • Lead executive management teams in human resource initiatives.
  • Analyze and implement employee compensation strategies.
  • Manage workers’ compensation program, including claims review and coordinate with providers and carrier, implement discipline, safety training and rewards programs related to workplace injuries.

  • Implement strategic initiatives for hiring and talent retention.
